Shekhinah Mountainwater... Faery Bard, Radical Muse, Foremother of the Womanspirit movement, Author of Ariadne's Thread, Priestess of Aphrodite... crossed into the arms of the Great Mother on Saturday, August 12, 2007.

This interview, recorded on July 7th, 2007, was the last time we saw this magical, powerful woman before leaving for Europe for the summer.  She died about a month later.

Although nearing the day of her passing and fighting a heroic battle with cancer, on that afternoon Shekhinah was bright, energetic clear and passionate talking about her life and her work.

She speaks with crystal clarity about major themes in her life, from her “radical beginnings” growing up with a Marxist mother in New York in the fifties and sixties, to Sybil, the performance troupe she formed with her two children in the seventies in California, to her work with women’s spirituality and helping educate women and men about the Goddess, as well as her envolvment in the lesbian community
